THE km® STORY

Let me tell you a little about km®. It is a nutritional supplement made by

the Matol Company of Canada, they are a multi-level marketing company,

so the only way you can get it is from a distributor like myself, or become

one, (preferably through me), then you can buy direct from them and save

yourself some money, not a lot, but it adds up, and if you also get some

other distributors under you, who knows? I'm a distributor so I can buy the

product wholesale for my personal use.

When I discovered how valuable km® is as a human electrolyte, I put out

the word to my fellow endurance riders. It is the most incredible stuff I've

ever put in my body when I'm dehydrated, tuckered out, and in need of a

zap! The km® supplement won't give you a false high, it simply brings you

back to normalcy (whatever that is.... I know, I know... mutually exclusive

when we're talking about endurance riders).

It is like eating 10 bananas, or drinking a gallon of Pedialyte® all at once.

It is a natural supplement, lots of good herbs and phytonutrients... just read

the label. Use it in a little flask that you keep in your pocket and if you have

a rider that is starting to get a dazed look in their eye, or has leg cramps give them a swig and you will see results in about 5 minutes. It also works well for dazed crewmembers and overworked vets.

Some people have crewed for me because I give them a bottle of km® as a gift for crewing. I have known people who have suffered leg cramps their whole life when they worked hard outdoors and became dehydrated. Some of them have been on quinine pills and other treatments but nothing ever worked as well for them as km®

.The night after a hot and humid 100 miler I put my flask near the bed. If I wake up in the middle of the night with foot or leg cramps, a dose will relieve them in less than 5 minutes. Half an ounce will usually do the trick, especially for a small person, but if I'm really hurting or flagging, I'll take a full ounce. Some users take a drink every morning and I do if I'm working outside in the heat day after day. During a competition, I will take a dose at each vet check, and I also carry it on trail. If I start getting a little feather-brained while out on a loop, I'll take another sip out there. Just depends on how I'm feeling. Usually one will use no more than about 6 ounces during a competition.

It does taste pretty awful at first, but eventually you will get where you almost like it, because you associate it with feeling better. Keeping it cold or mixing with a little juice makes it more palatable. It’s also available in capsules but they are not as fast acting. If you cannot stand the taste you can take capsules ahead of the time you will be physically stressed.Remember, it doesn't give you a false high, like sugar or caffeine, it just brings you back to a normal alert level during physical exertion (especially in the heat). Just like the electrolytes in horses you need to start using before you feel like you need it.
